The cognac of the Caribbean, aged in sherry casks

This legendary Puerto Rican rum is aged in vintage Spanish white oak sherry barrels to achieve its signature rich character. It delivers a beautifully balanced profile of dried dark fruits, warm spices, and a hint of smoky oak on the palate.

The story behind it

The maker

Founded in 1880 by Pedro Fernández, Ron del Barrilito is Puerto Rico's oldest rum brand. The Fernández family has guarded the secret formula and traditional production methods for over a century at their historic hacienda.

How it is made

Handcrafted at Hacienda Santa Ana in Bayamón, this rum is aged using the solera system in seasoned Oloroso sherry casks. It represents the oldest rum-making tradition in Puerto Rico, prioritizing historical accuracy over mass production.
