The story behind it

The maker

Privatbrauerei Aying was founded in 1878 by Johann Liebhard in the historic village of Aying, Germany. For over a century, this family-run brewery has maintained strict adherence to the Bavarian Purity Law while winning international acclaim for their traditional styles.

How it is made

Deep in the heart of Bavaria, the Ayinger brewhouse employs traditional double-decoction mashing processes to coax out deep malt complexity. They utilize locally grown hallertauer hops and a proprietary open-fermented top-fermenting yeast strain to craft this legendary wheat ale.
