Founded in 1873 by Don Cenobio Sauza in Tequila, Jalisco, the brand is one of the oldest and most pioneering tequila houses in Mexico. Don Cenobio was among the first to establish the guidelines for denominating the spirit as Tequila and was the very first to export the drink to the United States.
Produced at the historic La Perserverancia distillery in Jalisco, Sauza utilizes a unique extraction method where agave is pressed before cooking to capture fresh, raw agave flavors. It is then double distilled in copper-lined pot stills to ensure a clean, smooth spirit.
