The maker
The brand's namesake, Paddy Flaherty, was a beloved salesman who traveled from pub to pub buying rounds of this Cork-distilled whiskey for patrons. His generous sales technique became so famous that customers began ordering 'Paddy's whiskey' directly, prompting the company to officially rename the bottle in his honor.
How it is made
First distilled in 1779 at the historic Cork Distilleries Company, this whiskey was originally known as Cork Distilleries Company Old Irish Whiskey. It was renamed in 1912 after their legendary salesman, Paddy Flaherty, who popularized the spirit across Irish pubs.
