The story behind it
Founded in 2011 by college friends Ross Brockman and Tyler Mosher in Maine, Downeast Cider House later relocated its main operations to East Boston, Massachusetts. Driven by a desire to rescue American cider from overly sweet, artificially filtered profiles, they pioneered the unfiltered craft cider movement in New England.
Downeast Cider House was built on the belief that hard cider should taste like fresh-pressed apples, which is why they never filter their products. This commitment to unfiltered authenticity allows the natural pectin and complex fruit essences to shine through in every batch.
