The story behind it
Downeast Cider House was founded in 2011 by college friends Ross Brockman and Tyler Mosher in Boston, Massachusetts. Their mission was to rescue cider from the overly sweet, mass-produced market by crafting authentic, unfiltered hard ciders.
Downeast Cider House was built on the belief that cider should be unfiltered and made from freshly pressed local apples. By avoiding artificial concentrates and heavy filtration, their craft brewhouse retains the raw, complex flavors of orchard-fresh fruit.
