The story behind it

The maker

Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1998 by Art Larrance and Ron Gansberg, Cascade Brewing became legendary for its complex, lactic-tart barrel-aged beers. They helped define the 'Northwest Style' sour ale by focusing on local ingredients and oak aging.

How it is made

Cascade Brewing is a pioneer of the Northwest sour beer movement, utilizing custom-designed oak foudres and barrels. The Vine is a prime example of their barrel-aging artistry, marrying beer and winemaking techniques in their Portland brewhouse.
