Founded in 1857 by Lazaro Gallardo, a tavern owner and the first Tequila Master Distiller in history, Gran Centenario is deeply rooted in Mexican heritage. Gallardo established his production house in Jalisco to craft a tequila of exceptional quality, which remains a benchmark of traditional methods in the highlands.
Distilled at the San Jose de el Alto distillery in Los Altos, this tequila uses a proprietary Seleccion Suave process that blends newly rested tequilas with aged reserves. The liquid is aged in brand-new charred American oak barrels to develop its golden color and signature roundness.
