Founded by Jess Graber in 2008 in Colorado, Tincup was created to embody the rugged spirit of the American West. Graber spent decades distilling and perfecting a mountain whiskey style that honored the state's early mining history.
Tincup is a nod to the mining town of Tincup, Colorado, and the tin cups miners drank from after a long day in the shafts. It is distilled using a high-rye mash bill in Indiana, aged in charred American oak, and cut with pure Rocky Mountain artesian water in Colorado.
