Patrón was founded in 1989 by John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley with the mission to create the world's first ultra-premium tequila. By focusing on hand-harvested blue agave and traditional techniques, they established a global luxury standard for the category from their state-of-the-art distillery in Jalisco.
Crafted at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, using traditional volcanic stone tahona wheel crushing. The spirit undergoes a unique double distillation process before its lengthy maturation in a combination of American, French, and vintage Bordeaux oak barrels.
