Wild Turkey was famously named in 1940 after distillery executive Thomas McCarthy brought some warehouse samples on a wild turkey hunting trip with friends. Led by legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and his son Eddie Russell, the brand has maintained its uncompromising production standards for over seven decades in Lawrenceburg.
Crafted at the historic Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, utilizing deep-layer No. 4 alligator char barrels for maximum wood extraction. It is distilled using a traditional family mash bill and water from the Kentucky River before undergoing patient maturation.
