Founded in 1987 by Tom Bulleit, the brand was created to revive an old family bourbon recipe created by his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit in the 1830s. Tom left a successful law career to bring this high-rye frontier heritage back to the modern whiskey world.
Crafted at the Bulleit Distilling Co. in Shelbyville, Kentucky, this bourbon utilizes a unique high-rye mash bill designed to stand out. The distillation process uses limestone-filtered water and charred American white oak barrels to forge its signature Frontier flavor profile.
