Arette Tequila was founded in 1986 by Eduardo and Jaime Orendain, who named the brand after Arete, a legendary horse that won double gold medals in the 1948 London Olympics. The Orendain family is one of the most respected names in the tequila industry, maintaining a multi-generational legacy of artisan distillation at El Llano.
Estate-grown and bottled in the historic town of Tequila, Jalisco, Arette is produced by the Orendain family at the famous El Llano distillery. El Llano has been utilizing traditional brick ovens and copper pot stills to create high-quality spirits for over a century.
