Jefferson's was co-founded in 1997 by Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian, in Kentucky. They sought to push the boundaries of traditional whiskey blending and aging while honoring the heritage of Chet's eighth-generation grandmother, who was arrested for bootlegging in 1799.
This bourbon is matured in select oak barrels at the Kentucky-based distillery & rickhouse. It represents the flagship expression of the reserve collection, prioritizing maturation placement and barrel selection.
