Beefeater was founded in 1863 by James Burrough in London, who purchased the Cale Street Distillery to perfect his signature dry gin recipe. Named after the Yeoman Warders who guard the Tower of London, it remains one of the world's most historic and highly decorated gin houses, operating under the expert guidance of legendary Master Distiller Desmond Payne.
Distilled in London, Beefeater utilizes a historic production method where nine botanicals, including hand-selected juniper and Seville orange peel, are steeped for a full 24 hours before distillation. This extended steeping process allows the distillery & production estate to extract a deep, complex, and extraordinarily balanced botanical profile.
