Basil Hayden Toast Bourbon

Basil Hayden750 ml40% ABV

Toasted oak complexity meets soft brown rice sweetness

This unique bourbon replaces the traditional rye grain with US-grown brown rice, imparting a gentle sweetness and a lighter body. It undergoes a secondary aging in toasted, charred new oak barrels to deliver layers of warm bread and caramelized sugar.

The Basil Hayden brand was introduced in 1992 by Booker Noe, grandson of Jim Beam, as part of the small batch bourbon collection. It was named in honor of Basil Hayden Sr., a historic Maryland Catholic pioneer who led a group of families to Kentucky in 1785 and famously used a high-rye mash bill.

Crafted at the historic Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, this expression reimagines traditional bourbon mash bills. The unique secondary finish in toasted charred oak barrels enhances the wood's natural sugars without adding heavy oak bitterness.
