Horse Soldier was founded by retired U.S. Army Special Forces veterans who were among the first to enter Afghanistan after 9/11, famously known as the 'Horse Soldiers'. Under the brand name American Freedom Distillery, they created this whiskey in Somerset, Kentucky, to honor their service and dedication to authentic craftsmanship.
Crafted in the heart of bourbon country, this expression is matured in deep-charred American oak casks. The traditional distillation method utilizes a unique mash bill that emphasizes rich corn and supportive rye structure.
