W.L. Weller was established in 1849 by William Larue Weller, a true whiskey pioneer who introduced the first wheated bourbon recipe to the world. Today, the brand is produced at the award-winning Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, maintaining his original legacy of exceptionally smooth wheated whiskey.
How it is made
Produced at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery, this bourbon is crafted using wheat as the secondary grain instead of rye. It aged on the top floors of the rickhouses, where the extreme temperature fluctuations helped impart its rich, sweet character.
