The story behind it
Founded in 1896 by Adolphe Willm in the picturesque region of Alsace, Maison Willm has dedicated over a century to highlighting the unique terroir of Barr. The winery & vineyard became highly celebrated for being the first Alsace producer to export its wines to the United States after Prohibition.
Maison Willm was established in Barr at the foot of the Kirchberg de Barr Grand Cru vineyard, a site famed for its ideal microclimate. The grapes are carefully harvested from limestone-clay soils which impart a distinct mineral clarity and elegant structure to this classic cool-climate Pinot Noir.
