The story behind it
Uggiano was established by a group of Bergamo businessmen passionate about Tuscan wines, led by French-trained enologist Giuseppe Losapio. Today, the winery is run by his former partners who maintain the historic house style of aging wines in traditional large oak casks.
Azienda Uggiano was founded in the early 1970s in the heart of Tuscany by winemaker Giuseppe Losapio. The winery & vineyard teams work traditionally to showcase the classic expression of Sangiovese grown on clay-limestone soils.
