Tullibardine 228 Burgundy

Tullibardine750 ml43% ABV

Highland single malt finished in premium French Burgundy casks

A rich and indulgent single malt finished in Burgundy red wine casks from Chateau de Chassagne-Montrachet. This expression beautifully marries the light, nutty character of Tullibardine malt with the deep red berry and dark chocolate notes of premium French oak.

The story behind it

The maker

Tullibardine was established as a brewery in the 15th century and converted into a whisky distillery in 1949 by renowned designer William Delmé-Evans. It remains one of the few independent, family-owned distilleries in Scotland with their own on-site cooperage and bottling facilities.

How it is made

The Tullibardine distillery & rickhouse sits at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands in Blackford, utilizing water from the nearby Danny Burn. This specific expression is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks before being finished in 228-litre French oak Burgundy casks.
