Founded in Pontassieve near Florence in 1877 by cousins Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino, the winery became synonymous with the classic Tuscan style. It quickly established itself as a pioneer, notably becoming the official supplier to the Italian royal family and one of the first brands to export Chianti globally.
Rooted in the heart of Tuscany, Ruffino Chianti DOCG has been crafted for over a century to showcase the bright, historic character of the Sangiovese grape. The winemakers select high-quality fruit from premium vineyards across the region, maintaining traditional Tuscan techniques to achieve its signature fresh profile.
