Loch Lomond Distillery was founded in 1814, with the current site established in 1964 by the Littlemill Distilling Company. Renowned for its innovative still configurations, the distillery is one of the few in Scotland to maintain an on-site cooperage, ensuring absolute control over the wood maturation process.
The Loch Lomond distillery & rickhouse in Alexandria was commissioned in 1964, utilizing unique straight-necked pot stills alongside traditional ones. This custom equipment allows the distillers to control the cut of the spirit with extreme precision, creating a highly distinctive Highland character.
