Founded in 1982 by brothers-in-law Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts, Brasserie d'Achouffe began as a hobby in a small stable. Their whimsical beers, identifiable by the signature gnome illustrations, quickly became pioneers in the Belgian craft beer renaissance of the late 20th century.
Brewed in the heart of the scenic Belgian Ardennes, this ale is crafted at the Brasserie d'Achouffe brewhouse using local spring water. The legendary Ardennes gnomes of Achouffe are said to have inspired the secret recipe, which famously includes a touch of coriander.
