Gnarly Head was launched in 2004 by DFV Wines with a mission to make bold, structured wines from California's oldest head-trained vines. Inspired by the rugged, ancient vines of Lodi, the brand specializes in big, authentic red wines with serious character.
Sourced from old-growth vineyards in Lodi, California, where the gnarly head-trained vines produce intense, concentrated fruit. The winemakers harvest at night to preserve acidity and extract deep, opulent flavors during fermentation.
