The story behind it

The maker

Don Julio was founded in 1942 by Don Julio González, who revolutionized the tequila industry by choosing quality over quantity and planting agaves further apart to allow them to fully mature. His dedication to revolutionary agricultural and distillation practices transformed tequila from a raw spirit into a world-class luxury icon.

How it is made

Crafted at the legendary La Primavera distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, this expression is aged for 18 months in American white oak barrels. The distillery maintains strict standards, cooking hand-selected blue agaves in traditional masonry ovens to release their deep sugars.
