Founded in 2011 by Justin Heilenbach, Bryan Holmes, and Kris Nelson in Burlington, Vermont, Citizen Cider started as a passion project in a basement. The founders set out to create a craft cider brand that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest craft beers, celebrating regional agriculture and local community.
Citizen Cider was born in a Burlington brewhouse with a mission to bring hard cider back to the people using locally sourced apples. By working directly with regional orchardists, they craft a diverse lineup of ciders that range from bone-dry to creatively spiced.
