Founded in 1933 by the Bargetto family in Soquel, California, this historic winery has pioneered premium winemaking in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Chaucer's was introduced in 1964 as a line of fruit and honey wines named in honor of Geoffrey Chaucer, author of The Canterbury Tales.
Chaucer's Mead is produced by Bargetto Winery, utilizing 100% pure honey sourced from California apiaries. The wine is fermented without the addition of any artificial colorings, concentrates, or flavorings to preserve its classic medieval style.
