Founded in 1997 by Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, Jefferson's was built on the concept of pushing the boundaries of traditional bourbon aging. The Ocean series was inspired by Trey watching bourbon agitate in his boat, leading to this pioneering maritime aging process.
The whiskey is aged in barrels placed aboard container ships that cross the equator multiple times, exposing the liquid to extreme temperature fluctuations. This constant movement and salty air result in a completely unique hyper-aged flavor profile.
