The brand was launched under the guidance of legendary Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee, who named it in honor of his former boss and mentor, Colonel Albert B. Blanton. Blanton spent over 50 years dedicating his life to preserving and advancing the craft of traditional Kentucky bourbon at the distillery.
Distilled at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery, this bourbon is aged in the famous metal-clad Warehouse H, which was commissioned by Albert B. Blanton to accelerate the aging process. It was famously introduced in 1984 as the world\'s first commercially sold single barrel bourbon.
