Founded in 2011 by college friends Ross Brockman and Tyler Mosher, Downeast began in a basement before moving to Boston, Massachusetts. Determined to rescue cider from the overly sweet, mass-market alternatives, they built their brand on authentic, unfiltered recipes using 100% freshly pressed local apples.
Downeast Cider House was built on the belief that cider should taste like fresh apples, choosing to skip the filtration process entirely. By leaving their ciders unfiltered, they preserve the full-bodied texture and rustic character of fresh fruit straight from the orchard press.
