Founded in 1997 by Jason Spaulding and Brett VanderKamp in Holland, Michigan, New Holland started as a craft brewery before expanding into distilling in 2005. They have become pioneers in pioneering the crossover between beer barrel aging and craft whiskey production.
This bourbon is first aged in new American oak barrels before resting for ninety days in barrels previously used to age the brewery's legendary Dragon's Milk Stout. This unique dual-barrel aging technique takes place at the distillery and rickhouse facility in Holland, Michigan.
