Founded in 1869 by legendary distiller John Smith in the heart of Speyside, Cragganmore is celebrated as one of the region's most complex single malts. Smith designed the distillery with unique flat-topped copper pot stills to capture exceptionally delicate, aromatic vapors. Today, it is recognized globally as the Speyside representative in Diageo's iconic Classic Malts selection.
Cragganmore was founded by John Smith in 1869, who purposefully built the distillery near the Strathspey Railway to pioneer modern whisky transport. The distillery utilizes flat-topped spirit stills that encourage maximum reflux, contributing to the unusually complex, floral, and multi-layered character of the spirit.
