Originally named Milton, the distillery was renamed Glenkinchie to reflect its location in the glen of the Kinchie Burn. Today, it serves as the Lowland home of Johnnie Walker, welcoming global visitors to its beautifully restored garden distillery.

Glenkinchie Distillery was established in 1837 by farmers John and George Rate and stands as one of the few remaining active Lowland distilleries. It operates some of the largest copper pot stills in Scotland, contributing to its light and airy distillate style.
