The Balvenie was founded by William Grant in 1892 in Dufftown, Scotland, adjacent to Glenfiddich. The distillery remains fiercely independent and is one of the few that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor maltings, and employs a coppersmith on site.
Crafted at the historic Speyside distillery, this expression undergoes a unique finishing process overseen by the Malt Master. The whiskey is aged in traditional oak casks before being transferred to port pipes that have held fine port wines.
