Ardbeg Distillery was officially established in 1815 by John McDougall, though distilling on the site dates back even earlier. Surviving several closures throughout the 20th century, Ardbeg was resurrected in 1997 and has since achieved cult status among smoky whisky enthusiasts.
Distilled on the rugged south coast of Islay, this single malt undergoes maturation in French oak casks and ex-bourbon barrels. The Ardbeg distillery & rickhouse is world-renowned for its heavily peated whiskies that retain a delicate, fruity complexity.
