Founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston on the south coast of Islay, Laphroaig is famous for its uncompromising, richly peated whiskies. It remains one of the few distilleries that still maintains its own traditional floor maltings, preserving a unique heritage of Scotch whisky making.
Crafted at the historic Islay distillery, this expression is aged in a combination of second-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels. The lengthy maturation softens the intense medicinal peat into an elegant, multidimensional masterpiece.
