The Yonezawa family, founders of the Kaikyo Distillery, have been brewing sake since 1856 and began distilling spirits in 1917. To celebrate a century of family spirit-making, Master Blender Kimio Yonezawa established the modern distillery to produce world-class artisanal Japanese whiskies.
Crafted at the Kaikyo Distillery in Akashi, this whisky is named after the historic Hatozaki lighthouse, the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan. It is produced using traditional copper pot stills and aged near the sea, absorbing unique maritime characteristics during maturation.
