Suntory was founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii, who established the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923 as Japan's first commercial whisky distillery. Today, Suntory is celebrated globally for pioneering the category and perfecting the delicate art of the Japanese blend.
Hibiki was introduced in 1989 to commemorate Suntory's 90th anniversary and has since embraced the art of Japanese blending. The liquid is crafted from whiskies matured in five different types of casks, including American white oak, Sherry, and Mizunara oak.
