Islay peat fire meets luscious tawny port sweetness

A captivating, limited-edition single malt matured in refill and rejuvenated oak casks before finishing in sweet tawny port casks. This expression beautifully balances the signature rich, medicinal peat smoke of Islay with a luscious wave of red berry sweetness.

The story behind it

The maker

Established by John Johnston in 1816, Lagavulin Distillery has stood as a guardian of Islay tradition for over two centuries. Famous for its pear-shaped stills and rich maritime character, it remains one of the most iconic and highly regarded single malt brands in the world.

How it is made

Lagavulin was founded in 1816 on the south coast of Islay, an area renowned for its slow distillation process and pear-shaped stills. This slow pace maximizes copper contact to create a spirit of unparalleled complexity, depth, and rich peat intensity.
