Founded in 1898 by John Duff, Benriach was revived in 2004 under the guidance of industry legend Billy Walker. Located on the site of the old Riach farm in north Speyside, the distillery has earned global acclaim for its innovative multi-cask maturation programs, now guided by Master Blender Rachel Barrie.
Deep in the heart of Speyside, Benriach distillery and its historic dunnage warehouses are famous for unorthodox cask maturation experiments. Their dedicated peated runs produce a unique Speyside peat character, which is distinctively sweet, fruity, and herbaceous compared to Islay malts.
