The maker
Originally created in 1937 by a New York bartender who blended Benedictine with brandy, the Benedictine distillery officially adopted the recipe to offer a drier version of their iconic herbal liqueur. Founded on the legendary recipe of monk Dom Bernardo Vincelli from 1510, the brand remains a historic French treasure.
How it is made
Developed in the 1930s as a ready-to-serve cocktail, B&B marries the secret recipe of Benedictine's 27 plants and spices with French brandy. The blend is then aged in oak vats at the historic Benedictine Palais in Fécamp to harmonize its complex flavors.
