The story behind it
Established by David G. Yuengling in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, in 1829, Yuengling has survived Prohibition and economic downturns to remain family-owned and operated. Today, under the leadership of the sixth generation of Yuengling daughters, it stands proud as America's Oldest Active Brewery.
Brewed continuously by America's oldest craft brewhouse, this recipe was resurrected in 1987 to bring back the historic pre-Prohibition style. The family-owned brewery utilizes traditional copper kettles and local Pennsylvania spring water to brew this flagship lager.
