Founded in 1897 by the Francois family of French heritage, Castello di Querceto is located in a historic castle in Greve in Chianti that dates back to the 16th century. For generations, the family has dedicated itself to unlocking the full potential of local Tuscan varietals through meticulous vineyard management and a deep respect for historic winemaking techniques.
Castello di Querceto is nestled in the rolling hills of the Chianti Classico region, where the estate's vineyards benefit from high-altitude microclimates and diverse stony soils. The grapes are vinified using traditional temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the pristine red fruit characteristics of the Sangiovese grape.
