The story behind it
Meiomi was founded in 2006 by fifth-generation winemaker Joe Wagner, who named the brand after the native Wappo word meaning 'coast'. Wagner's vision was to create a bold, rich style of Pinot Noir that challenged traditional delicate expressions, a style that quickly became a commercial phenomenon.
Meiomi Pinot Noir is crafted by blending grapes from three of California's premier coastal growing regions: Monterey, Sonoma, and Santa Barbara. Each region contributes distinct characteristics, resulting in a complex, multi-appellation wine that showcases the best of the California coast.
