The story behind it

The maker

Founded in 1974 by Jerry Lohr, J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines remains a family-run winery renowned for its pioneering focus on California's Central Coast. Jerry was one of the first to recognize the incredible potential of Monterey County for cool-climate Chardonnay and Paso Robles for Cabernet Sauvignon.

How it is made

Grown in the cool-climate Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County, the grapes benefit from wind-swept afternoons that preserve natural acidity. The winery & vineyard program aging regimen utilizes French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels to integrate rich, buttery notes with lively fruit.
