Gnarly Head was launched in 2004 by Delicato Family Wines with the mission to make big, bold wines from California's oldest vines. Inspired by the resilient head-trained zinfandel vines of Lodi, the brand specializes in rich, dark reds that capture a rugged and adventurous spirit.
Crafted by Gnarly Head Winery & Vineyard, this wine pays homage to the legendary 1924 vintage when Lodi grape growers smuggled field blends to home winemakers. The wine is sourced from select vineyards in California's famed Lodi appellation, known for its old, gnarly head-trained vines.
