The story behind it
Founded in 2011 by college friends Ross Brockman and Tyler Mosher, Downeast Cider House began in a basement before moving to Boston to lead the unfiltered craft cider movement. Their commitment to using real ingredients instead of artificial concentrates has earned them a passionate cult following.
Downeast Cider House was built on the belief that cider should taste like apples, choosing to skip the filtration and processing common in mass-market brands. Brewed in East Boston, their recipes rely on fresh-pressed local New England apples and real fruit purées.
