The story behind it
Founded in 2012 by Justin Heilenbach, Bryan Holmes, and Kris Nelson in Burlington, Vermont, Citizen Cider began with a passion for supporting local agriculture. They set out to bring cider making back to the people by working closely with local apple growers across Vermont and New York.
Citizen Cider was founded on the belief that a great cider starts with local farms and high-quality fruit. The cider is pressed, fermented, and packaged directly at their facility in Burlington, Vermont, using 100% locally sourced apples.
