Founded in 1876 by August Kuentzmann Damm in Barcelona, Estrella Damm is Spain's oldest beer brand and a symbol of Mediterranean lifestyle. The brewery developed Daura to provide a true, uncompromised beer experience for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, quickly establishing it as the global benchmark for gluten-free beers.
Brewed in Barcelona by the historic Grupo Damm, Daura was launched in 2006 in collaboration with the CSIC gluten unit. It utilizes an advanced proprietary process that breaks down the gluten protein chain, ensuring each batch contains less than 3 ppm of gluten while preserving authentic lager character.
